I heart you Hogwarts.

My love affair with Harry Potter was completed last week, just short of my goal to have it done by the end of February. It was a great and fulfilling moment for me, and honestly feels like the greatest accomplishment of the year thus far.

Like most books I read that have movies made  from there, I personally feel that the books were SOO much better then the movie, the last one especially.  It was a pleasure of mine to have conversations with my students about book VS move. The topic got us all a little riled up; however being able to see the excitement of Harry Potter and books in general riled this teacher up even more. I have not been enthralled in a book series like that  since Twilight, and I won't talk about the joke of the movies that are being made with that series. Needless to say, I am sadden by the fact that this love affair if over.  Hogwarts will live in my hear forever!

Harry Potter my love...part1!

I am currently on book 6 of the Harry Potter Series and I have been kicking my self since I started reading the entire series, why didn't I join the initial hype! (I started the summer of 2011 and hope to have watched and read everything by the end of February)

To say the least,  I am in love with the series of books!! You want to talk about creativity, J.K. Rowling nails it on the head.  So much detail so much excitement, such great characters to fall in love with. I am enthralled and obsessed to say the least!   I thank the students who peaked my interest, and also Mugglenet.com and Pinterest to help it continue!! My creativity is sparked to say the least...especially after watching the above compilation!! (WARNING: if you haven't seen all of the movies, there are spoilers in the clip)

My weekend is now planned to catch up on watching the movies... #winner

Seussical the Musical

Some of the ways I get to use my creativity is being a director.  The first show if this year was our Musical, myself and two other teachers at our school, work our tail off to put on an amazing production.  This year our production was Seussical! The Musical, it was a  fantastic production and everybody worked very hard. Below are some of my favorite pictures and scenes!!!

Gertrude and Cat as Doctor Dake
Thing 1 & 2  with Vlad Vladikaff
Mayzie La Bird sitting on her nest, not real happy about her egg situation.

Horton & Gertrude and the clover
Gertrude and her really long tail!

JoJo and the Cat during "Having a Hunch" (The Hunches looked like big blobs with arms, and read really well on stage!!

WHO'S: We choose to do Who's in all yellow and it looked great!
The Butter Battle
Wickersham Brothers with our Ladder Tree
Part of the opening Scene and our Jungle of Nool
McGelligots pool!! We borrowed a lot of fabric for this and made a bath tub!! Loved this scene!

Jojo's think: an ELEPHANT BIRD
Egg Nest and Tree!! (Loved this tree)
Final Scenes with the new word and think!
